Single Mom Needs Emergency Help With Food & Essentials
Hi, my name is Heather Nicole, and I never imagined I would be making a GoFundMe asking strangers for help, but I’ve reached a point where I don’t know what else to do.
I’m a single mom raising two boys and I’m self-employed. Right now, I have essentially no money left after putting gas in my car, and I’m struggling to provide groceries and basic necessities for my children while waiting on money that should have already come in.
I work and run my own small business. I’m not asking for help because I don’t want to work. I’m asking because several things went wrong at the same time, including delayed payment for work I’ve already completed and a delay in the food assistance I was counting on.
I’ve always tried to figure things out myself, but there isn’t anything left to stretch right now. I still need gas so I can work and take care of my children, food for the house, and basic household necessities while I wait for the money I’m owed.
I’m asking for $1,500 to help cover:
• Groceries and necessities for my children
• Gas so I can continue working and transporting my kids
• Essential household expenses and bills
• Enough of a cushion to get us through this immediate financial emergency
I know so many people are struggling, and I don’t expect anyone to fix everything for us. Even $5 or $10 would put gas in my car or help buy something my kids need. A bunch of small acts of kindness could make an enormous difference for us right now.
This is incredibly difficult and embarrassing for me to post. I’m normally the person who keeps pushing and figures out another way, but I’ve run out of ways to make the numbers work this time.
