1. What mutualaidspace.org does
mutualaidspace.org provides infrastructure for publishing, discovering, and amplifying mutual aid. Content may appear on mutualaidspace.org, federate through ActivityPub and the Fediverse, appear in public feeds, newsletters or roundups, and be indexed or redistributed elsewhere on the web.

2. Payments and third-party services
mutualaidspace.org is not a bank, crowdfunding platform, payment processor, escrow service, fiscal host, or financial custodian. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, money linked through mutualaidspace.org does not pass through mutualaidspace.org.
Fundraisers, crowdfunding pages, payment handles, and other external services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, payment rules, refund procedures, fees, and restrictions. mutualaidspace.org does not control those services or ordinarily hold authoritative payment, supporter, or donor records.
3. Publication is not verification
Publication or amplification through mutualaidspace.org does not, by itself, constitute verification, certification, endorsement, or a guarantee that every statement submitted by another person is accurate.
mutualaidspace.org does not generally require people seeking mutual aid to provide legal identification, proof of poverty, medical records, photographs of hardship, or similar invasive evidence before their requests can be amplified.
People choosing whether to support a request remain responsible for deciding what information they personally need before providing support.
4. Public and federated circulation
mutualaidspace.org uses public and decentralised distribution systems. Material published here may be federated, boosted, reposted, indexed, cached, quoted, screenshotted, archived, included in newsletters or roundups, or redistributed by third parties.
Removing material from mutualaidspace.org cannot guarantee removal of copies already held by independent Fediverse servers, search engines, archives, newsletters, screenshots, or other third parties.
5. Moderation
mutualaidspace.org may refuse, restrict, unpublish, or remove material where reasonably necessary to protect the platform, other people, or the intended purpose of the service.
Detailed rules for community submissions, including administrator removal and resubmission, are contained in the Community Submission Policy.
mutualaidspace.org is not obligated to investigate interpersonal disputes, adjudicate accusations between strangers, or operate as a fraud tribunal.
6. Availability and security
mutualaidspace.org is an evolving independent project. Parts of the platform may be changed, repaired, migrated, suspended, replaced, or discontinued as its infrastructure develops.
Availability may be affected by hosting or server outages, software or plugin failures, federation failures, third-party service outages, maintenance, or security incidents, including malicious attacks, denial-of-service attacks, unauthorised access, account compromise, compromised infrastructure, or data breaches. Affected services may be restricted or temporarily taken offline where necessary.
Use of mutualaidspace.org does not guarantee uninterrupted service, permanent hosting, permanent federation, or a particular level of reach.
7. Ownership
Publishing or submitting material through mutualaidspace.org does not transfer ownership of that material to mutualaidspace.org.
mutualaidspace.org retains rights in its own original writing, branding, graphics, design, code, and other project material unless stated otherwise. Permissions relating specifically to community-submitted material are explained in the Community Submission Policy.
8. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when mutualaidspace.org, its infrastructure, or its public functions materially change. The current version will display its latest revision date.
