My name is Israa, and I am a mother of three children in Gaza. I never imagined that my life would become about constantly thinking about how to find food, clean water, medicine, and the simplest things my children need. My son Abdullah is suffering from malnutrition. He is very weak for his age and needs nutritious food, vitamins, and the right kind of nutrition to help his body regain strength. As a mother, it hurts me deeply to see my child needing things that should be basic for every child. Our home was also burned and badly damaged during the war. The roof was destroyed, and we need to rebuild the foundations and repair it so that we can have a safe place for our children, especially before winter comes. Every day brings another need. Food, water, medicine, children’s needs, and the costs of trying to repair what was destroyed. We have lost so much, but I am still trying to keep my children going and give them whatever I can. I am not asking for a comfortable life. I am asking for help with the things my children and my family need to survive and slowly rebuild our lives.
