My home became impossible to finance because of a disaster I did not cause.In 2024, excavation for a sewer project caused a hillside failure at my condominium community, leading to serious structural damage and ongoing litigation. Although my own unit was not physically damaged, the entire condominium project is now affected.I was approved for financing and expected to close, but the lender pulled the financing after reviewing the condominium project. I was told the property is ineligible because of litigation involving safety, structural soundness, habitability, and functional use.
